They’re wonderful in all respects

Great inspection, I would recommend Shelton to anyone considering purchasing a home. I've used Shelton for two home purchases as well as an office lease. They've found important items that needed to be addressed in each case, and even the minor items that didn't need to be addressed at time of sale/lease are nicely compiled in their reports so that I can address in the future.

Zack at Shelton was very thorough with a full scope of inspections we did recently for our St. Pete home. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly!

Easy to set up online, great communication and staff communicated prior to arriving. Staff arrived on time, was well dressed and professional. The staff explained in detail the work needed to be completed and where they needed to access. Following their inspections they went over their findings and I had their full report in less than 24 hours from the inspection. Fantastic service all around, will certainly use and recommend their expertise in the future.

Zach performed a very professional whole house inspection as a matter of fact I was informed it was one of the most thorough inspections both my realtor and insurance agent had ever seen.

I've used this company twice within the last month. I chose Shelton Home inspections because they offered every everything I was looking for and had a middle price point for the three quotes I had received. I got the wind mitigation, the four point inspection, the regular inspection, pest infestation and sewer scope each time. They gave me a discount on the second time. The reports came with nice details along with pictures so that the seller understood what I was asking to be fixed. They reinspect once for a minimal charge and gave me a free reinspect on the third final walk-through and gave me a clear 4-point inspection. I feel very grateful, like I wasn't used or taken advantage of because I'm a woman. I learned so much about my home during this process! I feel empowered with knowledge and ready for all the handyman jobs coming my way.

As a local St. Petersburg Realtor, I work with a lot of different inspection companies, but when my parents were buying a house I knew I wanted the best and Shelton was my first call. Shelton Home Inspections did a VERY thorough inspection, paying special attention to the areas we were concerned about (roof, electrical, and plumbing). Even with a busy day of inspections scheduled, Stephen patiently sat down and reviewed his inspection photos with us and answered all my parent's questions. We were able to get the electrical panel replacement negotiated into the contract and saved my parents $5,000+. Shelton will remain at the top of my recommendation list for my clients.

Extremely thorough and well-documented inspection with photos and great customer service

Steve spent at least four hours at our prospective home, scoping the pipes, checking for termites, performing the 4 point inspection and more. It was the most thorough inspection we have ever seen. We especially appreciated the way Steve and Christine answered our follow-up questions and concerns, even when we contacted them on their boat during a much needed vacation. Once again Shelton Home Inspections came through with a professionally conducted and thorough inspection supporting our recent endeavor to get a reasonable rate for Home Insurance. With their inspection in hand, we can represent the home adequately - I hope - to meet the needs of the underwriter. Zack, our inspector, was cordial and engaging as I hovered over him whenever possible. Their inspections are so well done, I ordered a sewage line inspection which they promptly and efficiently conducted and commented on the condition of the lines and providing a photo and video representation of the lines in the event we need to repair the lines. With this inspection, we now have three under our belt with Shelton and we could not be happier, unless they would do them for free. Great Job Shelton - with a shout out to Zack and Christine.

I am a Realtor and called Christine on behalf of my out of state buyer who needed a sewer scope. She was able to schedule Inspector Stephen the SAME day!! We got the inspection report and video of the sewer scope back the next day. Everything was explained in great detail so we could fully understand the findings. It was a great experience!

I recently had my home inspections done by Zack at Shelton Home Inspection. Zack was very thorough even though I opted only to do the 4pt and termite inspection. Then he sat down with me and went over everything which I really appreciated, within a day I received a digital copy of the report professionally done with photographs. I found Shelton Home Inspection to be very responsive and quick to schedule my inspections and the communication was excellent. Highly recommend!

We were looking at a house to buy and not sure of what we might find so a friend of us gave us the name of Shelton Home Inspections and we are so glad he did. They are professional and beyond thorough. The tool they use to feedback information to you on your inspections makes it simple to understand what needs to be done to create documents for others who you need to help do your repairs Etc. I called on a Saturday to ask a question about wind impact garage doors and Christine answered and gave me very helpful information. After I installed a new wind impact garage door, I scheduled an inspection for wind mitigation. Stephen Shelton is very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He completed the inspection yesterday and I had the completed wind mitigation report this morning. I appreciate the great customer service!

Stephen Shelton just completed a new 4 point home inspection for me. He was thorough and professional and completed the report on the same day. Also, I have to thank Mr. Shelton for sending out to his customers a couple months ago a hurricane storm preparation guide explaining all the materials needed to curtail storm surge on one's home. I will be using his helpful guide this storm season.
